Amazing Partnerships Create Amazing Opportunities

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Amazing partnerships create amazing opportunities. That is why COTA is proud to partner with COSI, the Center of Science and Industry, to celebrate innovation in Central Ohio. COTA will serve as the “Official Ride Partner” and is offering free transportation to and from COSI’s BIG Science Celebration Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The BIG Science Celebration is the culminating free community event of the 2019 COSI Science Festival along the Scioto Peninsula, with dynamic experiments, incredible demonstrations, engaging hands-on activities for all ages and an explosive display on the Scioto Riverfront at 4 p.m.

COSI will distribute free COTA bus passes at dozens of events leading up to May 4. You can map your route to COSI’s BIG Science Celebration using our Trip Planner or by downloading the Transit app  on your smartphone. Included in this newsletter is an interactive map to assist you in making plans to take COTA to the celebration.

While at the BIG Science Festival, stop by and take a tour of COTA’s brand new bus parked on the Rich Street Bridge. This state-of-the-art bus runs on compressed natural gas, furthering our commitment to sustainability. Each passenger seat has a USB port so commuters can charge their mobile devices. If you visit the bus at the festival, you and your family can receive COTA bus passes for your trip home, learn more about the technology that moves COTA’s system, and provide valuable feedback about your mobility needs and ideas.

I hope you will join us for this amazing science and discovery event with COSI. The COSI BIG Science Celebration is a special opportunity to explore and get an up-close look at the science and technology breakthroughs happening daily right here in Central Ohio!

With warmest regards,
