Take COTA to March Madness This Weekend

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is getting ready for a busy weekend as Columbus hosts several first and second round games of the Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament, March 22 and 24 at Nationwide Arena.

COTA provides fans with a low-cost option to get to the game, with bus stops outside Nationwide Arena on the east, west and south sides of the facility. Several bus lines serve that area including Lines 1, 2, 2L, 5, 6 and 8. CMAX, the area’s first bus rapid transit, has a bus stop just east of the arena and provides fast service up the Cleveland Avenue corridor to Westerville. Customers can leave their cars at home and take COTA to and from the game for a $2 fare.

Also, to better serve basketball fans, CBUS, our FREE downtown circulator will extend service hours to midnight on March 22 and 24. CBUS provides free service from the Arena District to the Short North, Downtown, the Brewery District and German Village.

Lines 1, 2, 5, 8, CBUS and CMAX provide frequent service (every 10-15 minutes). Lines 2L, 3 and 6 provide standard service (every 15-30 minutes). We have a map showing the location of all the bus lines available around Nationwide Arena.

You can plan your trip by visiting COTA.com or by using the Transit app, which also provides real-time bus arrival and departure times from your location.
