Service Changes

Service changes may include modifications to frequency, schedules, trip times, routing or stop locations. COTA modifies service three times per year on the first Monday of January, May and September. Here’s what’s new in September!

Line 1 Kenny/Livingston is being split into two lines and extended to the Dublin OSU Outpatient Center — Line 1 Kenny and Line 1 Livingston. Both lines will run every 15 minutes, with a 30-minute frequency between Carriage Place and The Ohio State University. Every other trip will continue to Riverside Hospital before heading back Downtown.

Line 30 Hilliard-OSU is a brand-new line connecting Hilliard, Upper Arlington, OSU and Downtown, running every 30 minutes, seven days a week.

Line 32 N Broadway is changing and will no longer serve areas west of Kingsdale Shopping Center. Going forward, it will run only between Kingsdale Shopping Center and Easton Transit Center, still every 60 minutes.

Minor schedule adjustments for all lines will be considered to help improve on-time performance.

Dublin Park and Ride is moving! The existing Dublin Park and Ride is closing and relocating this fall to the corner of Dale Drive and Bridge Park Avenue. Riders — including those catching the Zoo Bus to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium — can park for free in the Theodore Garage located on Mooney Street just off Dale Drive.

COTA’S New Line 30

Starting September 2026, Line 30 will connect Hilliard, Upper Arlington, OSU and Downtown Columbus — all on one bus, no transfers needed. 

About Line 30

Line 30 will serve major destinations across Hilliard, Upper Arlington and OSU, including the Kingsdale Shopping Center, Wexner Medical Center and OSU’s Carmenton Innovation District, before continuing into Downtown Columbus. Dublin riders will keep a direct connection to OSU and Downtown Columbus through an extended Line 1, traveling all the way to the OSU Outpatient Care Dublin Center.

Improvements Shaped By the Short-Range Transit Plan (SRTP)

The new Line 30 launching in September 2026 is part of COTA’s Short‑Range Transit Plan (SRTP) — a roadmap for improving bus service across Central Ohio from 2027–2031. It looks at where riders are traveling, where service gaps exist, and how routes can better connect people to jobs, school and everyday destinations. Line 30 is one of the first routes shaped by this plan.

Line Changes and New Connections

Adding Line 30 means a few nearby routes are adjusting too:

Line 1 is being split into two lines and extended to the OSU Outpatient Care Dublin Center — Line 1 Kenny and Line 1 Livingston. This gives Dublin riders a new direct ride to OSU and Downtown Columbus without needing to transfer.

Line 32 N Broadway will have its western segment discontinued. Service west of Kingsdale Shopping Center will end, and the line will operate only between Kingsdale Shopping Center and Easton Transit Center.

Public Meetings

To ensure all those within our communities have an opportunity to understand the decisions we make at COTA and provide input, we conduct several meetings throughout the year and encourage the public to attend. Meetings are held in person at COTA’s Downtown Office located at 33 N. High St. and online through Facebook Live .
