Capital City Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon & 5k to Impact Multiple COTA Transit Lines & Stops This Weekend

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is expecting major delays and reroutes on Friday and Saturday as thousands of runners participate in the Ohio Health Capital City Half Marathon.

 Reroutes will begin Friday, April 29 at 5:00 p.m. and will continue throughout the evening. Additional reroutes will begin early morning on Saturday, April 30 and will last through the afternoon. The half marathon will impact the Downtown, the Arena District, German Village, Victorian Village and OSU Campus areas. Customers should expect significant delays on transit lines and hundreds of transit stops will be closed during the race, especially in the downtown area.

 Phase 1: On Friday, road closures will begin at approximately 5:00 p.m. Lines impacted include 1, 2, 8, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 102, CMAX, and AirConnect.

Phase 2: During the races Saturday morning, reroutes will impact ALL lines operating in the downtown area. Those includes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 22, 31, 102, CMAX, and AirConnect.

Phase 3: Saturday midday and early afternoon, reroutes will impact Lines 5 and 8 as the races end.
