COTA Board of Trustees Welcome Back Doug McCollough
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) Board of Trustees welcomed a new member during the board’s Performance Monitoring/Audit Committee meeting on Sept. 11. Doug McCollough, who previously was appointed by the City of Reynoldsburg and served on COTA’s board from 2021 to 2024, was appointed to a new term by the City of Columbus and was sworn in to join the 13-member board.
With more than 25 years of technology experience, McCollough is the CEO of DMC Group, Inc., a technology advisory and consulting firm with a focus on IT and broadband internet expansion programs, smart city and smart mobility development, as well as technology workforce development. He serves as Executive Director of the Beta District, Central Ohio’s ecosystem that provides an ideal platform for companies to test and develop innovative technologies.
Doug is also the CEO of Color Coded Labs, which targets underserved and marginalized communities to take on new careers in the technology industry. Prior to this work, he was the Director of Information Technology for the City of Richmond, Va., and CIO for the City of Dublin, Ohio. He is also on the boards of Per Scholas Columbus and TECH CORPS and is a cofounder of Black Tech Columbus.
“I’m honored by the opportunity to return to the COTA Board of Trustees and look forward to helping shape how COTA utilizes technology to improve and expand service through the implementation of the LinkUS initiative,” said McCollough. “It’s imperative that we meet the needs of our rapidly growing community with innovative mobility solutions, and we now have the opportunity with LinkUS to provide accessible transit for everyone in our region.”
McCollough will serve a three-year term, expiring in 2028.
