COTA TO OPERATE ON HOLIDAY SERVICE SCHEDULES IN OBSERVANCE OF CHRISTMAS DAY AND NEW YEAR’S DAY
COLUMBUS, Ohio – In Observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is announcing adjusted holiday hours.
COTA Fixed-Route Bus Service – All bus lines will operate holiday service on Thursday, Dec. 25, and Thursday, Jan. 1, 2025. When COTA operates Holiday Service, transit lines operate on Sunday schedules. Customers can plan their trip and pay using the Transit app or visit COTA.com.
Mainstream/Mainstream On-Demand – Mainstream service runs during regular hours during the holidays, but the Mainstream reservations department will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 1. Mainstream On-Demand will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the call center will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
COTA//Plus South Columbus – Service will run as scheduled on Christmas and New Year’s Day. Hours of operation are 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Trips can only be requested through the COTA//Plus app on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day because COTA Customer Care will be closed.
COTA//Plus in Grove City & Westerville – No service on Christmas and New Year’s Day. Service resumes regular operation hours on Friday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Jan. 2.
COTA Customer Care – The call center will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25 and will reopen at 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26. It will be closed on Jan. 1 and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Jan. 2.
Customer Experience Center – The downtown location will be closed on Dec. 25. It will reopen at 8 a.m. on Dec. 26. The Customer Experience Center will be closed on Jan. 1 and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2.
COTA operates Holiday/Sunday Service on the following holidays throughout the year: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
