There are lots of things to do in the Central Ohio region, including special events held in public spaces. When necessary, COTA will adjust service to accommodate these big events. This page will be updated as needed to provide additional information about rerouted lines, modified stop times, relocated stops, and other important details.

October 19, 2026: Sheir Rings Rd. & Avery Rd. New Stop

New westbound and eastbound stop locations are being built at Shier Rings & Avery.

Sept. 25, 2026–Early 2028: MLK Jr. Blvd. / Mt. Vernon Ave. Construction Impacts
Impacted Area: Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. / Mt. Vernon Ave. between Hamilton Ave. and N. Champion Ave.
Beginning Friday, Sept. 25, construction on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. / Mt. Vernon Ave. between Hamilton Ave. and N. Champion Ave. will shift to one lane in each direction.
As part of this project, Line 7 will be detoured to E. Long St. between Hamilton Ave. and N. Champion Ave. Stops along Mt. Vernon Ave. will be temporarily closed. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time while the detour is in effect.
March 16, 2026: Stop 7536 Relocated

Impacted Stop: 7536
Due to construction, Stop 7536 at W. Lane Ave. & N. High St. (westbound) will relocate further west starting Monday, March 16. The relocation is expected to remain in place through 2028. The new stop location will be in the area of 80–84 W. Lane Ave. Riders should board at the relocated stop.
March 2, 2026: Stop 3825 Relocation at W. North Broadway
Impacted Stop: 3825
Impacted Lines: 1, 32 and 72
Beginning Monday, March 2, Stop 3825 near the Riverside Hospital staircase will be relocated approximately 200 feet east to W. North Broadway due to roadway construction.
The stop will remain in service at its new location and will be served by Lines 1, 32 and 72. This relocation is expected to remain in place through 2027.

October 23–26, 2026: Westwoods Park & Ride Closure

Westwoods Park & Ride will be temporarily closed from Friday, Oct. 23, through Monday, Oct. 26, for facility improvements. The lot will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Oct. 21–22, 2026: Olentangy River Rd. Stop Closures
Impacted Stops: 6353 & 4204
Impacted Line: 1
Due to repairs to the stop area, Stops 6353 and 4204 will close Wednesday, Oct. 21, through Thursday, Oct. 22. During this time, please use the nearest stop going the same direction.
- Southbound Line 1: Stop 6353 at 2200 Olentangy River Rd.
- Northbound Line 1: Stop 4204 at 2825 Olentangy River Rd.
October 19–23, 2026: Line 11 Stop Closures on E. Town St.
Impacted Stops: 2055 & 2067
Impacted Lines: 11
Starting Monday, Oct. 19, Stop #2055 at E. Town St. & Washington St. and Stop #2067 at E. Town St. & Lester St. will close for five days due to construction. Line 11 riders: Please use the nearest same-directional stops during the construction impact.
Oct. 1–mid-Nov. 2026: Lockbourne Rd. Stop Closure
Impacted Stop: 4660
Impacted Line: 4
Stop #4660 near 2260/2300 Lockbourne Rd. will temporarily close due to construction. Line 4 riders, use nearby, same-directional stops for your route. Impacts are expected to last six weeks, into mid-November.
Sept. 23–Sept. 30, 2026: Northwest Blvd. & Giant Eagle Stop Closure
Impacted Stop: 7098
Impacted Lines: 3, 30 & 32
Stop #7098 is temporarily closed through Sept. 30. Lines 3 & 32 will use nearby stops on Northwest Blvd. or Zollinger Rd., while Line 30 will use neighboring stops along its normal route.
May–August 2026: Stop 4672 Closure

Due to construction, Stop 4672 at Karl Rd. & E. Cooke Rd. (northbound) is currently closed and is expected to remain closed through approximately mid-August 2026. Customers should use nearby same-directional stops during this time.
April 2, 2026: Stops 2509 and 7387 Closed
Impacted Stop: 2509 and 7387
Due to construction, Stops 2509 and 7387 at E. Broad St. & S. Hamilton Rd. will temporarily close starting Thursday, April 2. Customers should use the nearest same-directional stop in the area for their desired line. Impacts are expected to last approximately 2–3 months.
March 30, 2026: Stop 1606 Closed

Impacted Stop: 1606
Due to sidewalk replacement, Stop 1606 at W. 5th Ave. & Northwest Blvd. (eastbound) will temporarily close Monday, March 30 through Wednesday, April 1. Customers should use nearby stops at W. 5th Ave. & Grandview Ave. or W. 5th Ave. & Doten Ave. The stop is expected to reopen Thursday, April 2.
March 2, 2026: Amenity Removals at SID 6370
Impacted Stop: SID 6370
Permanent amenities at SID 6370 will be removed beginning March 2 to prepare for future construction. The stop location will remain in the same place. Riders should follow posted signage during this time.
February 11, 2026: Shelter Removal
Impacted Stops: 7536: W. Lane Ave. & N. High St.

Reopenings
Monday, Oct. 12, 2026: Spring St. Terminal Reopening
Impacted Lines: 6, 7, 10, 51, 52 & 61
Starting Monday, Oct. 12, Spring St. Terminal will reopen following the pantograph construction. Lines 6, 7, 10, 51, 52 & 61 will return to regular service.
Easton Transit Center Reopening
Impacted Lines: 7, 9, 23, 24, 25, 31, 32, 34, 35, 44 and 45
The portion of Transit Dr. at Easton Transit Center that was under construction is now open. Lines will enter and exit the transit center using normal routing.
