COTA Announces January Service Change Will Begin Monday, January 1st

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will launch its latest service change on Monday, January 1, 2024. Timetables for each transit line will be available online at COTA.com.

COTA makes changes to its service three times a year, on the first Monday of January, May, and September. Changes include schedule adjustments to improve travel times, modified service, as well as construction-related route changes. Important note: because January 1 is New Year’s Day, all transit services will operate on the new holiday/Sunday schedules, with new weekday schedules beginning on Tuesday, January 2.

COTA made significant improvements to service in September, thanks to the robust hiring of new operators throughout 2023. COTA has maintained this staffing level, which allows service to continue without reductions in January. COTA will continue to hire and train new operators and make more improvements in the upcoming trimesters.

The following transit lines will see times adjusted to improve on-time performance:

1 Kenny/Livingston

2 E. Main/N. High

3 Northwest/Harrisburg

5 W. 5th Ave./Refugee

8 Karl/S. High/Parsons

10 E. Broad/W. Broad

11 Bryden/Maize

25 Brice

32 North Broadway

33 Henderson

COTA will also make route changes to Express Line 45 (New Albany) to improve travel times. Express Line 71 (Hilliard) will now end at Renner Road Park & Ride.
