COTA to Launch September Service Improvements on Monday; Zoo Bus Service Extended Through October 27
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will launch its latest service change on Monday, September 2, 2024. Timetables for each transit line will be available online at COTA.com/ServiceChanges.
COTA makes changes to its service three times a year, on the first Monday of January, May, and September. Changes include schedule adjustments to improve travel times, modified service, as well as construction-related route changes. Important note: because Sept. 2 is Labor Day, all transit services will operate on the new holiday/Sunday schedules, with weekday schedules beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
COTA will make adjustments to the following transit lines to improve on-time performance:
1 Kenny/Livingston
2 E Main/N High
3 Northwest/Harrisburg
4 Indianola/Lockbourne
5 W 5th Ave/Refugee
8 Karl/S. High/Parsons
10 E Broad/W Broad
35 Dublin-Granville
CMAX
COTA will also improve frequency on the following lines:
24 Hamilton
75 Arlington/1st Ave
Additionally, some minor changes will be made to routes to improve efficiency:
12 McKinley/Fields
102 Polaris/N High
Zoo Bus will now be extended past Labor Day and begin weekend-only service through Sunday, Oct. 27. Zoo Bus is a popular transit service at COTA and an easy way to travel between downtown Columbus and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay. COTA will deliver five trips a day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
