COTA to Operate Holiday Schedule on Thanksgiving Day
In observance of Thanksgiving, the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will operate holiday service on Thursday, Nov. 28. Holiday service means COTA’s fixed-route bus lines will operate on Sunday schedules.
Customer Care Call Center also will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28. Customers can still plan trips and view transit schedules at COTA.com or by using the Transit app. The call center will reopen on Friday, Nov. 29 for regular operation hours, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The downtown Customer Experience Center will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will resume its regular hours of operations on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Here is how all COTA transit services will be impacted on Thanksgiving Day:
- COTA Fixed-Route Bus Service – Operating on Holiday (Sunday) schedules.
- COTA Mainstream & Mainstream on Demand (ADA Service) – No interruption in Mainstream service, but the Mainstream Customer Call Center is closed on Thanksgiving Day. The call center will reopen at its regular time on Friday. Mainstream On-Demand will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
- COTA//Plus South Columbus – Service will run as scheduled from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- COTA//Plus in Grove City & Westerville – No service on Thanksgiving. Service resumes regular operation hours on Friday.
